Adam McNicol is a Ballarat-based journalist and author. He has written a number of books, including The Danihers, the authorised biography of the four brothers who played for Essendon, and Manangatang, a social history of the iconic town in northern Victoria's Mallee region.
He also co-wrote All Bets Are Off, the autobiography of former Melbourne player and reformed gambler David Schwarz, In My Own Words, the autobiography of former Carlton and Brisbane Lions star Brendan Fevola, and Life and Football, the autobiography of Brisbane Lions champion Jonathan Brown. Along with writing books, Adam runs his own publishing company, Ten Bag Press, and produces content for the Geelong Football Club's in-house media business, Cats Media. He also writes for the Australian Football League's match-day magazine, the AFL Record.
