Ben’s Melbourne icon, the restaurant Attica, is recognized as one of the world’s most desirable places to dine. His cooking uses indigenous ingredients widely, and although endearingly unorthodox, Attica has garnered many accolades, including Australia’s Best Restaurant at the Gourmet Traveler Awards.
His writing, in his new book Uses for Obsession, is in harmony with his culinary skills. In it, he describes the perils of keeping the standard up in a business that has endured many downsides, including maintaining the business during the Covid years.
