Michael Williams is the editor of the Monthly and host of weekly books podcast Read This. He has previously been the Artistic Director of the Sydney Writers’ Festival and has been a Member of the Australia Council’s Literature Board. 

He was founding head of Melbourne’s Wheeler Centre, and its second director/CEO. He is a regular guest on ABC radio and TV and has written extensively for Guardian Australia, The Age and Sydney Morning Herald.
