SCHOOLS PROGRAM

The Dunkeld Writers Festival Schools Program aims to inspire a love of reading, writing and storytelling in young people across our region by connecting students with some of Australia’s most celebrated authors and illustrators. Through engaging talks and creative workshops, the program encourages imagination, curiosity and a lasting connection to books and ideas.

This year we welcomed Simone Kain and Caz Goodwin for talks with local schools in the Southern Grampians region. Past participating authors in our Schools Program include Leigh Hobbs (2024) and Kate Mildenhall (2025).
